Bose Around Ear Headphones Review

Another one of Bose’s product, the Around Ear headphones provide comfortable hearing at nearly half the price of any average Bose product. And that is where Bose gains advantage this time.

With sheepishly similar features as the QuietComfort Noise Reduction Headphones (a series, again by Bose), these pair of headphones provides nearly the same features but then there is a little loss in the higher range of music. Especially if the same songs are tried on in any of the other QC series. The midrange, however, perfectly fine and provides a good enough bass line.

The biggest advantage of this pair is something that is not that common. The headphones come with a 30-day free trial period after which you may choose to return the headphones. Along with that, Bose also offers a 90-day exchange period. These two strategies seem to be doing wonders for this particular product.

The pair is extremely light and thus easy to carry around, along with it, it provides for a comfortable snug fit, which makes the listener accustomed to whatever he hears. For the casual music listener, there can possibly be no better comfort that the Bose Around Ear headphone.

Talking about music quality, Bose seems to have achieved the fine line difference between an over the top, heavy sound to rich consistent and acceptable sounds. However, yet again high frequencies do not sound that good. The quality thus, does in ways does go for a toss. Alongside that, the feeling of transparent and brilliant sound quality seems missing which obviously adds to the very few problems that this headphone offers.

Accessory vise, the around ear headphones come with three extra ‘parts’ in the package they offer. First, an extension cable that makes it possible for the listener to stand a little further away from his instrument of choice, while the second provides for a clear headphone every time the listener uses it – a clean designed drawstring bag. Not only does that keep it clean but also helps in keeping everything in one place and of course, that just makes it all the much safer. The last component that is provided is a quarter inch stereo plug adapter that makes life even easier for the music freak. Alongside that, an instructional book is provided with it, which gives the user instructions in all major languages – for your benefit.

Without many technical enhancements, Bose’s Around Ear headphones provide a natural noise reduction process. Without the technicalities used in the other pairs, these seem to provide a more comfortable wear and a much more user-friendly operational pair of good quality headphones.

This pair is a fairly acceptable one. If you want an average music appearance, enough to make you groove and smile at the right time, this pair will suffice. And if you believe what Bose says and in its quality, there is no harm in buying this one especially at its current price of around $140.
