Smaller and more comfortable, Bose’s offering at a costly, $350, is a treat to the ear. Of course, it has its drawbacks. Then there are some of the best possible pros to it to.
Bose with this one has tried to satisfy those who complained of the huge size of the QC2 and the many other offerings. Many loyal Bose fans had actually complained that they were not only looking for comfort when traveling via air but in fact, would prefer it everywhere. The sheer size of the previous headphones caused and added to and even formed the problem.
The on ear shape and design of this pair is significantly more effective when it comes down to noise reduction and its likes. However, this also causes a slight problem to the user. Any on ears headphone is known to make it difficult for the user’s ears as there is a little more force applicable than expected and it is usual. Added to this, another restraint is that Bose this time used the traditional foam padding. This makes it heavy duty if used in sultry summer. Thus, obviously this is not an advisable headphone, if you are one of the everyday gym goers.
A brilliant factor is the sheer compactness of this piece of art. The earpieces of course, as discussed are smaller. Alongside that, the fold flat design adds to the brilliance. Accompanied with a compact box that fits in almost everything – Bose QC3 is ready to be carried around.
In addition, another distinguishing factor is that of a rechargeable battery. The headphone comes with a lithium ion battery. People at Bose claim that this provides a 20 hour backup. However, a statutory warning, ‘the battery needs to be fully charged for you to be able to enjoy the experience of listening to your movies and songs’, accompanies it. However, there is a drawback here too. A standard AAA battery cannot be used and thus care must be taken that your headphone’s battery is always charged and on the go. Else you can spend some more money and get yourself a backup battery.
Sound quality is on the higher fuller side. The bass is fuller and heavier while the overall sound of the headphones is appealing. It makes you want to tap your feet. The noise reduction factor is very well taken care of. If you want absolutely no background noise, you found the right buy. However, the only question you must answer before you go out and but them is, would you buy an expensive headphone? If you would, then you have yourself a worthy suitor.
