Hitachi DZ-BD10HA Review

If you are looking for a convenient camcorder then take a look at the Hitachi DZ-BD10. This camcorder is easy to use and has simple mechanism.  The camcorder is a bit large in size yet comfortable to be held in large hands. This camcorder has Blu-ray drive. This camcorder is on heavier side when it comes to weight. The camcorder can record DVD disc as well a full HD video. The major controls are on the rear side of the optical drive. On the top, one can find shutter release used for clicking snaps and zoom button. There is a switch that helps the user to switch from video to images.

The dub button helps in transferring the files from hard drive to memory card. On the top edge of the device, the user will find switches for playback, face detection and a slot for memory card. The camcorder has a photo flash.  The output is carried out through jack for mini HDMI, USB AND composite AV.  The camcorder has 2.7 inch LCD screen. Te LCD panel has five switches in form of LCD brightness, LCD information display, backlight, Full Auto and guide that works as a menu for the device. The user can find a five way navigation at the the edge of the LCD.

The user has to just decide what to transfer and where. Blu-ray has higher capacity of discs than standard DVD. When it comes to performance, this Hitachi model is quite slow. It take time to store, move from one option to other.

The video quality of the camcorder is really good. In bright conditions, the videos look really sharp and colors are natural and deep. The videos displayed on LCD HDTV look good and there are no noise issues. I n low light conditions, the videos look soft and dull. The built in mic functions really well in this model. The images look average taken from this camcorder. The images are sharp but colors are not that bright. The overall performance of this Hitachi camcorder is good with regard to video quality.

The camcorder is great when it comes to transferring the data. This makes it quite convenient to use. It has its share of issues in form of slow performance, features are limited and design is not that handy. The camcorder is priced at $599.  It has good video quality and average picture quality but it is expensive when the user looks at its design and features.
