Review of Motorola Droid X

Motorola Droid X is the fourth “Droid” phone that stands on android 2.1 Operating System. It is also the first phone to introduce a DLNA technology that connects you to television, radio and other devices in your house. With this technology and other distinct features, the phone certainly stands out as one of the stylish phones in the Motorola family, however has its own quirks as a smart phone.

Looks Design and Feel:

When you first look at the screen of Motorola Droid X, the thing that strikes your mind is that wow, the phone has a very big screen. With a 4.3 inches big screen, everyone has to say it! Moving slightly away from the screen, there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a small pinhole for the microphone placed on the top of the Droid X. The mini USB slot is placed on the left hand side and the HDMI port for synchronization is at the bottom of the phone. On the right side, there is a dedicated camera key and a volume adjustment key that connects you to the respective functions in a single touch. There is a 8 MP camera placed on the top of the backside of Droid X.

The phone is seamlessly thin and slips easily inside a pocket. Its user friendly interface is definitely loved by all the Motorola lovers. Moreover, the stylish phone stands out of the crowd when in hand.

Motorola Droid X is a 3G phone with Android 2.1 OS.  If features a DNLA, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. There are built-in GPS maps along with other PIM applications enabled inside Droid X. All of them help to make a user friendly interface, easy to work on. Moreover, this android device can effectively handle all your Office files, Emails, RSS feeds, news updates, game scores and the market data you feed into it. You can also browse the web and download whatever you wish at a high speed. The 8 MP camera with dual-LED flash clicks excellent photographs. Video recording is easy as the usage of controls is like that of camera. One gets 8GB memory card within the phone, and if this is not enough, expand your phone’s memory to 32GB with the microSD card available in the shops.

Performance:

The Droid X works fast with its 1.0 GHz OMAP processor with 512 MB RAM. The phone needs to be charged after a day or two depending upon the usage. You got the HDMI cables that connect your phone to your television, thereby enabling you to watch mobile recorded videos on the television.

The Verdict:

Motorola Droid X is a true value for money with its all new DLNA technology, chick looks and good features. Though the extra glossy finish can get scratched easily and a lack of QWERTY keyboards does not allow you to type fast, the phone excels over all these quirks through its advanced OS, fast processor and a long list of applications.
