Intelligent Auto (IA):

Panasonic SDR-S26 SD has iA feature in its camcorder. This feature deals with three different features mainly face detection, scene detection and O.I.S. Face detection will detect face in the frame and enhance it to maximum clarity. This mode will capture all the details of the face. Even if, light is low in the scene you will get a clear snap, as it will make the image brighter. It can detect maximum 5 faces in one frame. There is another feature called shake detection with an advance software tool called O.I.S i.e. optical image stabilization. Shake detection, detects the shake in the video and respond accordingly to eliminate blurry effect from the video. Another feature of the Panasonic SDR-S26 is iA (intelligent auto) it is used for scene detection. As soon as you start recording any scene, the type of scene is detected. Once scene type is detected by the camcorder, internal setting is changed according to the scene. There are four types of the scene that could be detected by the Panasonic SDR-S26 camcorder; those are portrait, scenery, spotlight and lowlight. Once the type of the scene is known, correct light compensation and color enhancement is carried automatically by the camcorder and optimum quality video is captured. For example, if light is dim, “Low Light” mode will be activated and extra light is filled in the scene. Furthermore, shutter speed slows down and complete frame gets maximum light. The lack of light is eliminated and clear and brighter video is recorded. Intelligent Auto is powerful and effective editing tool which is used internally by the camcorder.

Pre-Rec function:

Panasonic SDR-S26 SD will record your video before three seconds. This video is stored temporarily in a SDHC/SD card. When you will start recording the actual video, initially saved video gets deleted automatically. This will ensure that, there is not any loss of information from the shot before the recording actually starts and that the entire scene is captured by the Panasonic SDR-S26 SD. Your special moment is uncut and is at optimum quality.

Touch screen:

The Panasonic SDR-S26 SD has a joystick on the front panel of the camcorder. It makes operating a camcorder easier for user. One- touch navigation key is allotted on the camcorder to make quick access to the menu more comfortably and easily. It has 2.7-inches LCD display. Display rotates in 270 degree to give you flexible shooting experience.

Captures crisp video with MagicPix software. You can save power to large extend by just closing and opening the screen. It takes just 0.8 sec to start the camcorder after opening the display screen , this feature is called as Quick Start function.
