Image sensor:

The Sigma 15D has 14.1 mega pixels X3 CMOS image sensor. This sensor can capture larger portion of the scene. It is capable of improving the resolution of the image making it more vibrant. Skin’s tonal quality also get improved, skin become softer as well as brighter.  CMOS sensor is capable of shooting in less brightness or in dim ambience. Normally it happens that when we click snaps in dim light photo gets blurred or sometimes grainy also. Now with this camera, photos taken in low light also looks great and quality of the image doesn’t get lost. You always need flash while taking photo in low light but with the help of ISO, noise will be reduced and picture is captured as it is seen in original scene. For example birthday cake lighted with candles and placed in dark room. You can have a photo of that same scene without flash also, because of ISO mode.

The ISO sensitivity in this camera ranges from 100 to1600. Furthermore, you can also expand it from ISO 50 to ISO 3200. The ISO mode and image sensor incorporate and delivers optimum quality images.

It is costlier, but all latest technology and durability of the camera take 4/5 rating.
