Review of Sony Alpha 230

The digital camera manufacturer ” Sony” has brought out a new  range of camera in form of Alpha 230, Alpha 330 and Alpha 380. The latest Sony Alpha 230 is 10.2 mega pixel DSLR camera. Te camera is smaller in size, lighter in weight and easier in use.

The camera has 2.7 inch LCD screen and feature like anti dust system, anti-shake, Dynamic Range Optimizer, etc. The camera has 18-55 mm lens which helps in clicking sharp images. The model has a right hand grip which is quite uncomfortable. The user can use entire functions of the model that are  given in Function menu by pressing Fn button.  The camera has an optical viewfinder and a pop-up flash The camera has a feature in which the user can user dual cards for memory.

The camera has good start-up . The image quality is really good. The camera produces quality images that are natural and clear. The model works well both indoor settings as well as night time. The camera adjusts contrast and brightness functions using Dynamic Range Optimizer. The camera has a NP-FH50 battery. it lasts for approximately 510 shots.  The camera has tripod mount as well as USB ports and memory slots as input and output devices.

The camera has some designing errors. It is uncomfortable to hold. It is a good option for the casual photographers who want to understand what is the concept of DSLR . It gives value for money as well as has good image quality. The user can click snaps effectively. The camera has good auto focus and built flash and image stabilizer.

The camera is is priced at $ 53O which is less than the other two models A 350 and A380 from the same Alpha  range. The camera has main rivals in form of Nikon D 3000, Nikon D 5000 and Olympus E-450. The camera is fast and the overall performance is average. It is a step back ward than its predecessor Alpha 200. It has nothing significant to recommend as a lot of features are already present in other cameras. The uncomfortable grip is one of the biggest flaw in the camera. The user can take a good look at the model before taking  a decision to buy it.
